On Wednesday January 8 The Bluegrass Trust for Historic Preservation kicked off the new decade with a deTour to check out the beautifully restored Lexington Recording Company.

This single-family home was built in 1900, and sat vacant for approximately 35 years, before owners  Chris and Teri Kelly assumed ownership in 2013. The sandy stone, Richardsonian Romanesque styled, Victorian home features a wonderful turret and several of its original characteristics. Currently, its second and third floors maintain private residences, and its first story is home to The Lexington Recording Company (formerly Shangri-la Productions), owned by producer Duane Lundy.

Duane Lundy is a producer, sound engineer, and musician based in Lexington, Kentucky, best known for his work with artists such as Jim James, Ringo Starr, Vandaveer, Sunday Valley, Ancient Warfare, Joe Pug, Ben Sollee, Miles Nielsen and the Rusted Hearts, Justin Wells and many more. In addition to owning and operating The Lexington Recording Company in Lexington, KY he is also a partner in the WhiteSpace Records recording label.
